Fambam is ā¤ļø…

It’s the 12th of May…. Mik and Fiki will be arriving from Bali tonight. (Yey!) I thought of cooking the pork that we brought for barbecue last Sunday (Mother’s day) for our late lunch today. It wasn’t bad after all, being left behind to take care of the kids. šŸ˜Š Everyday, Ika comes home early and we eat lunch and dinner together. šŸ¤—

The pork has salt already. I cut the pork belly slices into three. To add some flavor, I dipped each piece in about a quarter cup of liquid seasoning and let it drip in a colander. I heated up some oil and put around 4 pieces of pork and covered the pan. After a few minutes, I turned over the pork and then put the pork on a plate with paper towels. I cooked the rest of the pork pieces until golden brown. 

In a separate wok, I sauteed some garlic, added the dau miao and some broth. I tossed them all together and then transferred the dish in a bowl. 

The little man asked me to cook corned beef for him. Since it was the last day of the exam, I obliged. He said, “no potatoes please. ” šŸ™„

The three of us had lunch at 3:30pm. šŸ˜Š 

Oh… The 2 boys arrived safely and gave me this…. I think they know how I love my alma matter…. “Hark daughters of the great St. Paul…”āšœšŸ˜˜
